This site presents the idea that modern birds developed from pterosaurs (rather than land-based dinosaurs). This is a credible alternative to the current land-based dinosaur to bird theory.

How did the actinofibrils come through the skin when the patagium decreased?
ReplyDeleteIt does not have to "come through the skin".
ReplyDeleteJust think about the gene switch being turned off that produces the non-actinofibril part of the membrane. And all that is left then is the thick band of patagium material close to the body with the actinofibrils continuing to extend from it.
Could you please provide a reference link to the scientific literature supporting this?
DeleteI did.
DeleteI don't see any links to any peer reviewed literature. Just a link to an anonymous person's personal blog.
DeleteI suppose this idea can be safely dismissed until such reference links are provided.
Did you check here:
Deletehttp://pterosaurnet.blogspot.ca/2012/02/pterosaur-brachiopatagium-to-bird.html
There are a number of references.
Step back for a moment:
Do you now see how the actinofibrils do not "come through the skin". That was your initial question.
ReplyDeleteSee here for details:

Note that the wing feathers of a bird, extend from the thick band of patagium material (called the "postpatagium") close to the body.
ReplyDeleteDo people see the game that Boomer Bower is playing? He began with a question and it has been answered. Instead of acknowledging that, he moves on to demand reference support for the idea.
ReplyDeleteBut the whole point of this entire blog is that I am presenting new ideas that are not part of the mainstream.
What I have done is shown how the ACTUAL EVIDENCE that I reference, fully supports the point I am making.
The question has been answered by an anonymous blogger's opinion. Not by any scientific literature. Everybody is aware of the nature of opinions.
DeleteThere are a number of scientific references here:
ReplyDeletehttp://pterosaurnet.blogspot.ca/2012/02/pterosaur-brachiopatagium-to-bird.html
and here:
http://pterosaurnet.blogspot.ca/2011/10/bird-feathers-are-analogous-to-wing.html
They provide EVIDENCE for the idea I am presenting.
I believe you did bright resolution the moment when you selected this theme of this article over here. Do you mostly compose your blog posts all by yourself or maybe you have a partner or even a helper?
ReplyDeleteI would be happy for any contribution from others. Care to contribute?
